on the case of the cape

for several months now i've been in search of a cape, yet i just can't seem to find any decent ones. the various ones available in british high street shops are few and far between, and those that are around just look too modern and not quite what i want.. i think i'm after mid-thigh length, with arm holes and either a hood and/or collar. ebay's offerings always have a flaw in them it seems; too long, too large, ugly colour, too poncho-ish.. i might just try making one myself.

before attempting to resort to my so-called "sewing skills," can anyone recommend anywhere that may sell something like what i'm after?

so i've finally gotten round to posting an outfit picture (which i plan to do a bit more often than i have been, so look out for more i guess). my special radar which tells me it's the coldest day this winter so far made sure that i wore something unsuitably summery, because hey, that's what i for some reason always do. but even after i realised how cold it was i just had to keep it on as i've wanted to put a really girly outfit with my leather jacket for agesss.

givenchy spring 2010 was an absolute dream, i can't believe i hadn't really seen it until now! the pleats, ruffles and ruching are gorgeous, and i simply adore how structure juxtaposes with the chiffons and light, sheer fabrics.
